Boreal Chorus Frog: Pseudacris maculata

Distribution: Eastern British Columbia through to the western half of Ontario and north into the southern portions of the Yukon and Northwest Territories.

Size: Up to 1.5" in adults.

Distinguishing Characteristics: Greenish-grey or brown in colour with a dark band through the eye and a white stripe over the upper lip. Also possesses three dark stripes running down the back.

Habitat: Woodland ponds though in the northern reaches of its range, is often found on the tundra.

Diet: Insects and other invertebrates.
