Northern Leopard Frog: Lithobates pipiens

Distribution: Found in every province and territory in Canada except the Yukon. Also found in the northern American states.

Size: 2-3" for adults is common.

Distinguishing Characteristics: Green or Brown background with Black spots with lighter coloured dorsolateral ridges.

Habitat: Wide variety of habitats including tundra, forested and prairies.

Diet: Insects and Arachnids.
